We here at T3AM Productions are huge sports fans if you didn't know. We have found ourselves having more than a few spirited discussions revolving around the world of sports. From basketball to baseball and definitely football, we have discussed it amongst ourselves passionately.
Collegiate Football is big time money. It's a big business that rules one day of the week. Saturdays people all around the US drive to the stadium or sit around the television to support their teams. I know that I sit down every Saturday and spend my time watching collegiate football teams from all around the country. I obviously root for my team in a die hard fashion, much like others around the US.
Sometimes collegiate athletes take a different path to making their dreams come true. For football players, often times, players can take the Community/Junior College path for one reason or another. They can be seeking another opportunity to prove themselves, having not received the attention they felt the deserved out of high school, or they can be seeking a chance at redemption. Many have taken that path including MVP Cam Newton and our own Austin Williams.
The look into the life of the Community College athlete is quite interesting. It is a group of people working for their dreams and doing whatever it takes to get a chance. Netflix has an upcoming look at this with another original program. This one is titled Last Chance U, based on the GQ article of the same name. It follows the athletes at East Mississippi Community College along their journey and looks like another in the long line of Netflix Original content. It starts streaming July 29th. Take a look below:
