Taking a break from the normal film and television post, to talk about more important things. The NBA Finals begins this Thursday. It is a rematch of last year's finals, Cleveland vs. Golden State. Regardless of the usual hype of Lebron, Steph Curry, MVP vs MVP, legacy and dynasty talk, on paper this should be a better finals than last year. I'll be honest I wanted to see the Spurs come out the west. I like the brand and style of basketball they play. But I am definitely in the minority for that.
Back to the matchup. I think this is going to come down to the benches. The superstars are going to get their stats and will win games. But the often overlooked bench will come into factor for at least two games. Somebody is going to catch fire unexpectedly and win you a game, possibly two, like Mo "buckets" Speights or J.R. "hand up so what" Smith. Two players that can go off and score buckets in bunches. Iman Shumpert may go off or Shaun Livingston can do the same, especially with the second team coming off the bench.
What do you think about the matchups? Who ya got? Let us know!
